There are a number of ads running in social media stating that “Martial Arts are not self-defense” and while many have taken issue with this statement there is some measure of truth to it but not for the reasons they think.
Virtually all martial arts show you “tools and techniques” but not how to actually use them in a real fight.
Regardless of what you train whether karate, kung fu, the grappling arts, MMA, at the end of the day the two most critical factors that make any skill or technique work is having the proper mindset and mastering martial movement.
